The Original Australian Labradoodle (ADL)

Origin
The Australian Labradoodle was developed in Australia in the 1980s to create a hypoallergenic companion dog that combined the positive characteristics of Labrador Retrievers and Poodles. The original breeder, Wally Conron, wanted to create a dog that would be suitable as an assistance dog for people with allergies. To achieve this, he combined Labrador Retrievers with Standard and Miniature Poodles. Cocker Spaniels were also included in some breeding lines to further refine the breed.

Friendly and social: Australian Labradoodles are known for their friendly and outgoing nature. They are generally very social and get along well with children, other dogs and pets.
Intelligent: These dogs are very intelligent and eager to learn, making them excellent companion dogs and suitable for various dog sports. They are often able to learn new commands quickly. Positive reinforcement and consistent training are most effective.
Active: You need regular exercise and mental stimulation to stay happy and healthy.
care and health

Grooming: Due to their special coat, they require regular grooming, including brushing to prevent matting. A professional trim every few months is essential.
Health: As with many breeds, Australian Labradoodles can be prone to certain genetic health problems, including hip dysplasia and eye disease, so regular veterinary checkups are important.
All of our dogs are examined for hip/elbow dysplasia and eye diseases and the genetic defects typical of the Australian Labradoodle are excluded.
